Jeffrey Aycock, DMD

Meet Dr. Aycock

Dr. Jeffrey Aycock is a board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon originally from Houma, Louisiana.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi and completed additional post baccalaureate studies at Western Carolina University.  He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD) from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in 2009.  He is a 3rd generation dental professional as his grandfather was a general dentist and his father was an oral & maxillofacial surgeon.

He completed a four-year oral & maxillofacial surgery residency program at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX from 2013 – 2017.  He was also an assistant professor in the program following the completion of his training.  He is currently an adjunct clinical professor at ECU School of Dental Medicine and works with the dental students at the ECU clinic location in Lumberton.  

Dr. Aycock is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve Dental Corps and served on active duty previously for 10 and a half years.  He was stationed in Fayetteville from 1996 – 2000 where he served in the 82nd Airborne Division and the 44th Medical Brigade as a Medical Service Corps officer.   He deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 as a dentist and to Bosnia and Nicaragua earlier in his career.

Dr. Aycock is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.  He is a member of the NC Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Dental Association, the NC Dental Society and the Greater Fayetteville Dental Society.

Dr. Aycock has active staff privileges at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and provides call coverage at the hospital for patients that require oral & maxillofacial surgery treatment in the hospital setting. 

He is married to his wonderful wife, Kim.  They have 3 dogs and enjoy being on the water and doing all types of outdoor activities.
